POSITION SUMMARY
The Claims Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing , reviewing and processing claims for accuracy, completeness and eligibility. They will prepare and maintain reports and records for processing while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Creativity and latitude is required. Successful candidates for this job are self-motivated, flexible to constant changes and are problem-solvers who think creatively and propose solutions.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Claims Business Analyst reports to a Customer Service Manager and works under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
o Identifies claim-handling problems and suggests solutions. Researches various Claims coding issues and presents findings to senior team members.
o Assists in the development and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with destablished policies and procedures.
o Collect/enter data and process claims.
o Works closely with staff to insure claims are being processed in a timely manner.
o Professional communication with customer to obtain any information that may be helpful in claim.
o Mitigate with servicer and Precor to get best results for both.
o Maintains the claims database and performs analysis on all aspects of claims to support finance and operations: and maintains logs and reports that track customer service and other important results.
o Performs special projects to improve efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy of financial reporting and other business activities. Presents findings to claims management, team members and special planning committees.
o Handle customer inquiries regarding warranty payments.
o Accurately respond and resolve claim and related issues identified.
o Perform claim analysis to insure system specifications are aligned with Warranty policies and customer expectations. Monitor claims entered in to the Warranty system.
o Oversees and performs administrative support tasks for leadership team.

Experience:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered.
Education:
o Bahelor's Degree - preferred
Experience:
o 3 years experience in the field or in a related area
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to work collaboratively
o Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
o Data entry/processing and typing
o Experience with payments, billing or charge-backs a plus
o Fluency in a foreign language a plus.
